In the jungles of South America, the Schlabachs lived as administrators at a mission compound. Good food was always appreciated. Susan Schlabach, wife and mother to the clan, looked for possible ways to feed her family wholesome breakfasts. When she came across a granola recipe, she latched on to it and learned that her family loved it. Other people loved it too.
Years later, now in the hills of southern Ohio, Delbert and his wife spearheaded the opening of a family business. The Home Place opened, presenting handmade furniture and a small bakery. Looking for something baked with shelf life Susan turned to her granola recipe. With a few variations, she introduced it to her clientele. She found that they loved it, too.
Other friends from out of state loved it. The news spread and others asked for it. The first wholesale account for Tried & True Granola started in 2007. Every year has seen an increase in vendors as the popularity of this granola spreads.
And now, here we are… fledging our Tried & True Granola Company. We are excited to offer to you our family tradition: Tried & True Granola.
